On the last day of 2013 I took a drive out to Enchanted Rock State Park  to shoot some photos. This was my first trip to the park in the 30 years I've lived in the area. About time don't you think!

The weather was beautiful and perfect for a climb. The shot above was not a planned shot, I turned around and there it was. So far it is my favorite shot from the trip but I still have many photos to process.

3 photo HDR taken with a Nikon 70-200 F2.8 lens on a Nikon D7000 camera.

Above is a 360+ Panorama from the top of Enchanted Rock. I set up on top of the elevation marker on the rock.

Taken with a Tokina 11-16 F2.8 wide angle lens using 14 photos.

This is one of the many Vernal Pools on top of Enchanted Rock in Central Texas. Some of the pools are just water but others have collected soil and have an abundance of plant and animal life in them.

This shot was taken looking NE using a Nikon 70-200 F2.8 lens on a Nikon D7000 camera. It is a 3 shot HDR photo processed with Photomatix, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom.

I'm still working my way through all the photos I took down in Corpus Christi during Thanksgiving. The clouds exploded with color not long after this was taken. There is a lone fisherman sitting on the railing waiting for his next catch. Getting up early to capture these shots isn't fun but the view is worth it.

I took this shot on one of my many rest stops on the way up Enchanted Rock. At each stop I set up the tripod and took a few bracketed shots. This is looking South/Southeast.

Taken with a Nikon D7000 with a Nikor 24-85 lens.

Late last September I was in Colorado looking for Fall photo's. We got up early and headed up to Maroon Bells which is a National Park near Aspen Colorado.

We arrived a few minutes after sunrise and this was the view across the lake.

Taken with a Nikon D7000 using a Tokina 11-16 lens. Processed in Photomatix, Photoshop CC and Lightroom.

I was down in Corpus Christi last weekend and wanted to capture a sunrise. Unfortunately all I found was fog but it made a beautiful shot just the same.

Taken along the downtown waterfront in Corpus Christi.

Nikon D7000, Nikor 24-85 lens, 2 shot HDR processed in Photomatix, PS6 cc and Lightroom.

I'm back down in Corpus Christi this weekend looking for more photo opportunities.

It has been a cloudy weekend so no good sunrises or sunsets. I went down to the waterfront and captured this shot of the downtown skyline last night.

Corpus Christi Sunrise

5/18/14

I was back in Corpus Christi for the weekend and hoped to capture another sunrise. The clouds didn't cooperate but I was able to get a few shots. I used an ND filter to increase the exposure time.
